Chadar Badoni: A Santhal Puppet-Making Workshop
The Santhals are one of India’s largest Adivasi communities, known for their vibrant artistic traditions, music, dance and storytelling.
Chadar Badoni (also known as Chadar Badar) is a rare traditional Santhal form of wooden puppetry, featuring intricately carved figures brought to life through ingenious mechanisms and movement.
Join Sri Charan Hemram & Team, traditional practitioners travelling from Sokadanga, WB to Bengaluru to share their knowledge and craftsmanship. This is a unique opportunity to learn directly from the tradition-bearers, experience the art of puppet-making and celebrate a remarkable piece of India’s living cultural heritage!
